ABOUT US
Holiday home Hoef & Hei is in the south of the Netherlands close to Roosendaal and the Rucphense forest and heather area. You will be welcomed by the owner who lives in the house next to the holiday home with her family.
The house offers you the comfort of a second home and outside there is plenty of space to relax, enjoy the green surroundings and the animals, and there are many options for the kids to play. Pets are welcome too.
There is a lot to discover: of course you will see our border collie and our cat roaming around. Also, you have a lovely view at our horses and if you are lucky you can discover the deer in the forest right next to us.
Other animal sightings in our garden: peacock, owls, different birds of prey, hedgehogs, hares, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, butterflies and dragon flies.
Of course your kids are welcome to help with brushing or feeding the horses and for a small fee a pony ride or (if your skills allow it) horse riding is also possible.

We are also in an ideal location for daytrips to Rotterdam, Antwerp, De Efteling with its rollercoasters, windmillpark Kinderdijk and the Dutch coast. We are pleased to give you information about activities, day trips, restaurants, playgrounds, cycling routes etc in the area.

THE HOLIDAY HOME
The detached holiday cottage has all the comfort you can wish for and is suitable for 4-5 persons and if you wish you can bring your dog too.
Lay out:
- living room with dining area, seating area with garden doors, wood burner, television, dvd player, books, games, toys, dvds.
- fully equiped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, gas cooker, water boiler, coffee machine, combi microwave.
- bedroom 1 with a double bed including bedding, and a travel cot if needed
- bedroom 2 with 2 single beds and 1 underbed drawer, including bedding.
- bathroom with spacious shower cubicle, sink and toilet, including towels (please bring your own beach or pool towels) and optional baby bath
- Start supply of coffee/tea/sugar/coffee creamer/ herbs/ dishwasher tablets/toilet paper/first aid kit
FACILITIES
Breakfast

We can provide breakfast if you wish, on the days that you wish, as long as it is requested before 12noon the day before.
Breakfast basket delivered at your door with fresh rolls, croissants, fruit, fresh juice, boiled egg, yoghurt and cereals.
Free Wifi
Free wifi is available in the holiday cottage.
Garden
​
There is plenty of space and we are willing to share it with you. Our terrain is fully fenced. You have your own garden area, which is also fenced for your comfort, with 2 seating areas a sand pit, playframe and bbq.
But there is more to discover in the rest of our garden: trampoline, jeu-de-boules set, soccer, darts, mini tennis, badminton rackets and a track around the horse paddock.
Acces within the horses area is only allowed under our supervision though!
Cleaning
Of course the cottage will be clean at your arrival. We put an extra effort into covid-proof cleaning: minimum of 24 hours between departure and arrival of guests, airing, desinfecting etc.
There are also materials at your disposal for keeping the house clean during your stay.
If you stay longer than a week, we can supply clean bedding and towels at your request.
For a small fee, we can also wash/dry your laundry.
Pool
​
In the summer months we will place a pool in our garden, which can be used for a nice cool down by you too.
Horses
​
Your kids are welcome for some interaction with the horses, like brushing or feeding.
A pony ride is possible for a small fee.
Further options for horse riding depend on your riding skills.

ACTIVITIES
Horses
Every day you can enjoy the view of our Irish piebold pony Puzzle and the Spanish P.R.E. horse Fiero. Helping out with brushing or feeding is always possible. Against a small fee, a ponyride or horse riding is also an option.

Animals
If you bring your own dog, he can roam around within your fenced garden. And if the dog gets along with our border collie Misty, then they can play and run together on our fenced terrain too.

Only 45 minutes driving brings you to great destinations like theme park De Efteling, Dutch windmill park Kinderdijk, Rotterdam, Antwerp in Belgium, the beaches of Zeeland, safari park Beekse Bergen, nature wetlands Biesbosch, etc.
